Man killed after being shot in head in North Hollywood alley

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was killed after being shot in the head in a North Hollywood alley Monday night.

Authorities received a call around 11 p.m. about an unconscious man in an alley west of the 6500 block of Vineland Avenue, south of Kittridge Street.

When investigators arrived, a man in his 20s was found unconscious, suffering a single gunshot wound to his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was unclear what lead up to the shooting or if it was gang related.

The investigation was ongoing.
