Suspicious death investigation underway in Riverside parking lot

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspicious death investigation was underway Monday after the body of a 52-year-old woman was found in a parking lot in Riverside.

Janice Burney was found deceased in the parking lot between K-Mart and Jack in the Box in the 1300 block of W. Blaine Street around 6 a.m.

Police said there's evidence indicating she had been run over by a vehicle, but circumstances surrounding her death are still unknown.
