Sick sea lion pup rescued at Oxnard beach

OXNARD, Calif. (KABC) -- A sick sea lion pup was rescued after it wandered into a person's yard at Silver Strand Beach in Oxnard.

The pup was taken in by the Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute on Sunday. The group said the pup was in poor condition, suffering from emaciation, dehydration and hypoglycemia.

CIMWI was treating the young sea lion to give it a second chance at life.
