SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 13-year-old boy was in critical condition Sunday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in South Los Angeles.

Authorities received a call around 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. When authorities arrived, they found the young boy who had been hit while walking through the crosswalk on the boulevard.

The child was taken to LAC+USC Medical Center suffering from a fractured skull and internal bleeding. He is in critical but stable condition.

No vehicle or suspect description was provided. The investigation was ongoing.
