Palmdale suspect sought after fatal shooting at house party

PALMDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- An argument during a birthday party in Palmdale led to the fatal shooting of a man late Saturday, according to Palmdale sheriff's deputies.

Deputies responded to the scene in the 38100 block of 50th Street East at about 11:30 p.m., when they discovered a man with gunshot wounds, Deputy Lisa Jansen said.

Officials said the victim had been in an argument with another man when he was shot three times in the chest by the suspect, Jansen said. The suspected then fled the scene.

The victim was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to officials.

No suspect information was available as homicide detectives and Palmdale sheriff's officials were investigating the incident.
