Car slams into Panorama City gas station pump, flips upside down

PANORAMA CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A car slammed into a Mobil gas station pump in Panorama City early Friday morning, causing the pump to burst into flames.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. at the corner of Nordhoff Street and Woodman Avenue.

The driver of the car lost control of the vehicle, which went up on the sidewalk, smashed into a gas pump and ended up on its roof.

Firefighters arrived on scene and knocked down the blaze.

A woman inside the car was taken to the hospital. Her condition was not immediately known. No other injuries were reported.
