Man killed in Ventura hit-and-run crash, police say

VENTURA, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Ventura early Monday, according to the Ventura Police Department.

Officers responded to the intersection of Blackburn Road and Tracy Place around 3 a.m. when they found the unidentified man lying in the street. Authorities said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Blackburn Road was closed between Wells Road and Saticoy Avenue for several hours while the Ventura Police Traffic Unit investigated the incident.

Authorities said they had no information on the suspect's vehicle and no arrests have been made.
