WEST HOLLYWOOD (KABC) -- West Hollywood is gearing up for the annual LA Pride Music Festival and Parade this weekend, and streets will be closed starting Thursday night.

San Vicente Boulevard will be closed between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue starting at 7 p.m. Thursday and won't reopen until Monday morning.

Parts of Santa Monica Boulevard will also be closed through the weekend.

The June 10-12 event includes musical performers such as Carly Rae Jepsen and Charli XCX, as well as a festival and parade on Sunday.

The parade's grand marshal will be Jewel Thais-Williams, an activist who founded one of the area's first clubs for black LGBT people.
