WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- The Los Angeles County coroner's office identified a woman whose body was found covered with a blanket in a West Hollywood dumpster.

Detectives responded to a parking lot behind a deli near Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the 8700 block of Beverly Boulevard shortly before noon Wednesday.

Authorities said a man walked into the sheriff's department station and reported there may be a woman's body in a dumpster in that area.

She was identified as 28-year-old West Hollywood resident Joie Kinney, according to the coroner.

No further information was released.
