Man found dead in Cudahy; investigation underway

CUDAHY, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities are investigating the death of a Cudahy man Monday night.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department homicide detectives found a dead man in the 7700 block of Atlantic Avenue around 11:30 p.m. He was later identified by the coroner as Edgar Velasquez, 26, of Cudahy.

Authorities said Velasquez had suffered blunt-force trauma injuries to his head and body. An autopsy was pending to determine his cause of death.
