SAN FRANCISCO -- Colin Kaepernick's controversial national anthem protest may be spurring sales of jerseys bearing the quarterback's name.

The No. 7 jersey is now the best-selling such apparel item in the 49ers online store.

Just two weeks ago, it was the 20th-best-seller. At the end of last season, the shirts were on clearance.

Not all buyers are fans.

Social media has lit up with videos of people burning their Kaepernick jerseys.

A Kaepernick jersey will set you back $100.
