POMONA, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was arrested in connection with a family being shot at during a road-rage attack in Pomona.

Officials said the incident began after a blue Toyota Corolla made an abrupt U-turn in front of an SUV with a family of five inside.

The mother of the family said her husband had to slam the brakes to avoid a collision with the Toyota and honked the horn.

The Toyota followed the SUV and attempted to ram the vehicle, according to police.

Authorities said a man shot at the SUV twice, but thankfully no one was struck.

Sanchez was taken into custody without incident and was booked for attempted murder.
