Man killed in drive-by shooting in East Los Angeles

EAST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 25-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting in East Los Angeles Monday night.

Authorities said a call came in around 7:31 p.m. regarding a shooting in the 500 block of Williamson Avenue. When authorities arrived, they found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound to his upper body.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities learned the victim and two other people were walking south on Gerheart Avenue near Eagle Street when a gray sedan pulled up and opened fire. The victim was struck, but it was unclear if the other two people were shot.

The shooting suspect remained at large, and authorities were looking for the two other people.
