Woman, 2 kids struck by car in Westlake District, LAPD says

WESTLAKE DISTRICT, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A woman and two children were struck by a car in the Westlake District on Friday, Los Angeles police said.

The crash happened shortly before 8 a.m. near the intersection of James M. Wood Boulevard and Bonnie Brae Street.

The woman and the children were transported from the scene. LAPD officials said the woman, 46, and the kids, ages 6 and 9, only suffered minor injuries.

Police said the crash appeared to be an accident, and it was not a hit-and-run. No arrests were made.
