REDONDO BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Four thieves smashed their way through the windows of two Redondo Beach businesses before opening the store registers and rushing back out.

Surveillance video captured in one of the stores showed the two suspects breaking the glass and racing to the registers. The suspects open them and grab as much cash as they can before fleeing the scene.

The suspects struck yogurt shop Wanna Chill? around 3:30 a.m. in the 800 block of S. Pacific Coast Highway, and then a Shell gas station in the 1200 block of S. Beryl Street around 4 a.m., authorities said.

The males suspects were described as being around 5 feet 8 inches tall to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 160 and 200 pounds. Two appeared to be at least 20 years old.

A witness said the thieves escaped in a gold 2009 Chrysler van with tinted rear windows.

Anyone with more information was asked to call Redondo Beach police Detective Brian Long at (310) 379-2477.
