INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- Three female students from St. Mary's Academy were struck by a car in Inglewood Friday, and two people were being detained by police.

Authorities said the crash happened on Prairie and Grace avenues at about 1:35 p.m.

The injured students suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to investigators.

Two people involved in the crash were being held by police, but authorities did not yet know how the collision occurred.
