2 children injured by fallen tree in Whittier

WHITTIER, Calif. (KABC) -- Two children were injured by a tree that had fallen in a Whittier neighborhood on Friday, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said.

The children, ages 8 and 11, were found at about 11:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of Croton Avenue.

They were taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center and are expected to survive.
