SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A search is underway for a man who stabbed two people aboard a Metro bus in South Los Angeles and then assaulted two other people at nearby train stations.

Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said the stabbings occurred near the intersection of Figueroa and Imperial streets shortly before 9 p.m. Monday.

The suspect then got off the bus at the Harbor stop and boarded a train. The same man assaulted two other victims at the Harbor station and the Vermont station, authorities said.

The two stabbing victims were taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center with minor injuries and were expected to be OK.

The other two assault victims suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention, sheriff's officials said.

The suspect is described as a bald man in his 30s, last seen wearing black shorts and a blue sleeveless shirt. A motive was not known.
