2 suspects with gun, ski masks arrested after following woman home
Authorities arrested two men after a woman called and reported the pair following her home early Sunday morning in Pasadena.

PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities arrested two men after a woman called and reported the pair following her home early Sunday morning in Pasadena.

Shortly after midnight, a woman called police to report a silver Ford Focus following her after she had exited the freeway. She gave officers her home address and pulled into her driveway when officers arrived.

The men were found in their car in the 1400 block of Rose Villa Street. Authorities searched the vehicle and found a handgun and two ski masks.

"There were mesh-like knit caps that can be easily used to be pulled down as masks and so it was the accumulation of all that perhaps these two were following her to commit an armed robbery," said Pasadena Police Department Lt. John Mercado.

Christopher Savery, 23, of Hawthorne, and Cory Hartfield, 19, of Las Vegas, were arrested on suspicion of robbery. Savery, who is on parole, is being held without bail and faces charges of armed robbery and a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Harfield is held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The woman did not know the two men and it is unknown how long they were following her before she noticed.

Anyone who believes someone may be following them should call 911 and then head to the nearest police department or a well-lit area to find help, authorities said.
