LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Good news for movie fans! The new digital download service Movies Anywhere lets consumers keep all their film purchases in a single location and access those movies on televisions, laptops, or mobile devices using the free "Movies Anywhere" app.

"Movies Anywhere is for everyone," said Karin Gilford, general manager of "Movies Anywhere." "There is a movie lover in all of us."

The simple, seamless digital entertainment experience allows consumers to access their movies in their own "digital locker" by connecting their "M.A." account with digital retailers Amazon Video, Google Play, iTunes and Vudu.

This service is a collaboration between five major Hollywood studios: The Walt Disney Studios (encompassing Disney, Pixar, Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm), Sony Pictures Entertainment, 20th Century Fox Film, Universal Pictures and Warner Bros.

"We'll launch with a catalog of almost 7,500 titles from our five partner studios," Gilford said. "Consumers will have access to all of those and when they connect their accounts they'll get to have that library with them wherever they go. From family to film buffs, movie fans will find value in 'Movies Anywhere.'"
