Man dies after being stabbed in Garden Grove; suspect arrested

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of murder after a man was found stabbed on a driveway in Garden Grove.

Authorities responded to a disturbance around 10:36 p.m. Saturday in the 13300 block of Lilly Street. When police arrived, they found a man, identified as 25-year-old Ruben Murga, suffering from stab wounds and lying on a driveway.

He was treated at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital, where he died of his injuries.

During the investigation, authorities learned Murga got into a fight with several other people and was stabbed. Authorities then identified the suspect as 31-year-old Michael Martinez.

Martinez was later arrested in the Garden Grove area on suspicion of murder and booked into Orange County Jail.

It was unclear if the suspect and victim knew each other or what led to the altercation.
