FONTANA, Calif. (KABC) -- Three firefighters were hospitalized with minor injuries they received battling an apartment fire in Long Beach early Friday.

The fire burned a vacant apartment unit and four garages in the 5300 block of Cedar Avenue. It started around 1:30 a.m., according to Long Beach fire officials.

No other injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
