3-year-old dies after fall at Embassy Suites in Anaheim

ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- A 3-year-old girl died Saturday night after falling from a fifth-story walkway at Embassy Suites in Anaheim.

Authorities say the girl, identified as Stephanie Martinez, fell from the hotel's inner courtyard walkway at 3100 E. Frontera St. just after 6:30 p.m.

The girl was rushed to UC Irvine Medical Center, where she was declared dead a short time later.

After a preliminary investigation, police said the fall appears to just be a tragic accident.
