Hiker finds decomposed body in Malibu park; investigation underway

MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- A homicide investigation was underway after a decomposed body was found in a park in Malibu.

Authorities said a hiker came across the body around 9:10 a.m. at Malibu Bluff Park.

When authorities arrived, they could not determine a cause of death, the gender of the body or give an age range because of how badly decomposed it was.

The coroner's office will determine the cause of death and identity.
