VIDEO: Boaters get breathtaking view of fin whales off Newport Beach

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A boater caught some breathtaking footage of fin whales off the coast of Newport Beach.

Domenic Biagini of San Diego was aboard the Newport Coastal Adventure earlier this week. He sent up a drone to help look for the whales.

That drone captured at least eight different fin whales swimming, breaching and playing around in the Pacific.

Fin whales can grow as long as 90 feet, but these guys appeared to be smaller than that.
