LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Actress Donna Mills received a special honor from the members of Pacific Pioneer broadcasters.

They celebrated her life's work, from movies and Broadway, to daytime and prime time television. And she's been doing it for 50 years.

"I'm still doing it. I'm not slowing down. I'm not stopping," said Mills. "And that kind of what that says is you don't have to!"

Mills is best known as vixen Abby Cunningham on the long-running nighttime soap "Knots Landing."

Two of her good friends from that series were on hand for this occasion.

"Everyone wanted to slap Abby but everyone loved Donna and that's true," said Joan Van Ark. "She is a wonder."

"And we're probably closer now that we were then. I'm serious!" said Michele Lee.

The trio has stayed good pals, and Mills hinted that we may see more of them in the near future.

"We've actually got a little something on the fire, the three of us, which I can't talk about yet," said Mills. "It's something about how the three of us have stayed friends all these years."
