The much anticipated Marvel superhero flick "Black Panther" leapt right to the top of box office charts, bringing in more than $25 million from Thursday night sneak previews alone.

That makes it the highest-grossing preview ever for a February, and overseas, it has already taken in $47 million since opening midweek.

The film offers a rich storyline that touches on family drama, racism, sexism, classism and more, but it's also a Marvel superhero movie, which means lots of action. For the actors, that meant lots of fun.

"You get to be a little kid again, you know? You always think you can jump from the roof and fly, you always think you can actually do what superheroes can do," said actor Chadwick Boseman, who played Black Panther.

Though the action sequences can be a lot of fun, actors said they can also be pretty intimidating.

"There were things that I was asked to do, and when they showed them to me, I was just like, 'I don't know how I'm going to do that,'" said actress Lupita Nyong'o. "It was scary, you know, some of those things. And then they teach it to you bit by bit and before you know it, I was doing the entire stunt, and I felt like, I felt invincible, and I love that. I love being able to overcome a fear and to pick up a new skill."

Danai Gurira said performing stunts actually helped to get to know her character on a deeper level.

"My character is deeply agile, and I had to step into her agility and learn her through how she moves physically," Gurira said. "And, you know, about 99.9 percent of what you see there is me, and that gave me an intimacy with her that is deeply special to me."

"Black Panther" is now playing in theaters nationwide.
