Fans get ready for NBA All-Star Weekend in LA
For many people who are fans of dribbling, they're in awe as Los Angeles becomes a haven for the NBA All-Star game.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- For many people who are fans of dribbling, they're in awe as Los Angeles becomes a haven for the NBA All-Star game.

The NBA's best players are set to take the court Sunday, but up until the big game those fans are the focus.

The NBA-crossover event going on all weekend is happening at the Majestic Hotel in downtown. It's the second year that the NBA has staged the fan favorite occurance, where people line up outside, around the corner and down the block.

"What better way to create an event that really hits on how the NBA interacts with art, music, technology and fashion?" said Steven Lichtenberger, senior manager of NBA events.

He said there's a foam finger pit, a virtual reality 3-D shooting game, and as many as 30 personalities, players and other celebrities in attendance throughout the weekend.

Another benefit is the free haircuts.

Earlier Friday, down at the Lakers' El Segundo practice facility, the NBA's Basketball Without Borders Camp offered young athletes from around the world a skills camp. NBA All-Star Al Horford was there to help.

"They're so into it. They're so eager to learn. I think they really appreciate being here and being in an NBA facility," he said.

The NBA Crossover event is free to get in, just keep in mind you may be waiting in line for a while.
