3.5-magnitude earthquake strikes near Boron
A preliminary magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck near the area of Boron in Kern County Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

BORON, Calif. (KABC) -- A preliminary magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck near the area of Boron in Kern County Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor hit 12.4 miles east of Boron and 23.6 miles west-north west of Barstow at 6:27 a.m. PST.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
