Family pays it forward to Spark of Love toy drive

CERRITOS, Calif. (KABC) -- When surprised with a $250 gift card at the Los Cerritos Center, the Steen family didn't hesitate with their response.

They donated the entire amount to buying toys for underserved children.

Although asked to spend only a portion of it on ABC7's Spark of Love toy drive, they decided to spend it all to help others.

"Growing up poor myself, my wife and I, we know how it is to wake up and not have much. So we teach our kids to give back to other people," Sean Steen said.
