Suspects caught with honey oil while using Uber for ride to drug deal

Cody Jens, 24, of Agoura Hills, and Luke Karasiuk, 22, of Thousand Oaks.

Two suspects were arrested Wednesday after their Uber driver was pulled over and they were found in the backseat with one-quarter pound of concentrated cannabis.

Cody Jens, 24, of Agoura Hills and Luke Karasiuk, 22, of Thousand Oaks were booked into the Ventura County Jail for possessing a controlled substance for sale.

Deputies pulled the Uber driver over for a code violation on Westlake Boulevard, south of Avenida De Los Arboles, in Thousand Oaks at 11:58 a.m.

That's when they noticed the men in the back seat were in possession of approximately one-quarter pound of concentrated cannabis, known as butane honey oil, and $2,000.

Detectives say the men were using the Uber service to drive them to a drug deal.
