Inactive pipe bombs found in Compton apartment complex; all clear given

COMPTON, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Inglewood police gave the all clear after finding inactive pipe bombs at an apartment complex in Compton.

Around 6:45 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of possible pipe bombs in the area of Compton Boulevard and Wilmington Avenue.

An apartment complex nearby was evacuated while deputies investigated the area.

Inglewood police served a search warrant at the complex when the pipe bombs were found. The devices were inactive.
