Car crash causes Cypress Park power outage

CYPRESS PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A car crashed into a fire hydrant, a power pole and a building in Cypress Park Thursday, knocking out power in the area.

The crash occurred in the 2600 block of North Roseview Avenue at about 9:43 p.m., according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The male driver was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.

About 241 customers were left without power, the Department of Water and Power said. An estimated restoration time was not immediately available.
