TUJUNGA, Calif. (KABC) -- A fire station in Tujunga was evacuated after police said a woman dropped off a suspicious device at the location on Friday. The package was cleared after about four hours.

Los Angeles police sent a bomb squad to investigate the incident at the fire station located at 7700 Foothill Boulevard at around 12:42 p.m.

Authorities said eastbound traffic on Foothill Boulevard was temporarily shut down at Mt. Gleason Avenue due to the investigation.

Police rendered the device safe at about 4:35 p.m. and reopened traffic.
