ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- A male suspect was taken into custody after a family argument turned into a stabbing in Anaheim.

The incident occurred at about 11 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of West Chestnut Street. One family member allegedly stabbed another family member in the abdomen area. The suspect also sliced his hand open, Anaheim police said.

Both were taken to a hospital and were expected to recover.

Another family member had a minor injury on his ankle.

The reason for the argument was not immediately known.
