4-week-old baby dies in Yucca Valley; investigation underway

YUCCA VALLEY, Calif. -- A death investigation is underway after a 4-week-old baby boy died in Yucca Valley.

Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Morongo Basin Station received a report of a baby not breathing at a home in the 8500 block of Amador Avenue at around 4:20 a.m. Monday.

Deputies and medical personnel responded to the home, and the baby was transported to High Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, where he was pronounced dead.

No other details surrounding the baby's death was immediately released. His death remains under investigation.
