ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- The woman who was fatally shot by Anaheim police Sunday after stabbing another woman at an area laundromat has been identified as 43-year-old Monique Jenee Deckard. Family members say she has a history of mental illness.

Deckard allegedly stabbed a woman at a laundromat at Ball Road and Euclid Street. She then returned to her apartment about a block away and refused to come out.

Police officers shot and killed Deckard after she allegedly charged at them with two knives, Anaheim Police Lt. Bob Dunn said.

The Orange County District Attorney's Office is investigating the shooting.
