MURRIETA, Calif. (KABC) -- Thieves stole a van filled with about $70,000 worth of gear belonging to a Supercross racing team.

The Chevy Express van was parked outside an apartment complex in the 24000 block of Jackson Avenue Friday night. Inside the vehicle was two dirt bikes and other gear.

The owner says he was only in the apartment for about 30 minutes. When he went back outside, his van had vanished.

Police recovered the van on Saturday, but the bikes and gear were not inside.
