Drug lab uncovered following Van Nuys explosion

VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are investigating an explosion and subsequent fire at a suspected marijuana oil extraction lab in Van Nuys.

The incident occurred at a house in the 15100 block of Leadwell Street at 10:52 p.m. Friday.

Investigators believe the home may have also been used as a marijuana-growing location. Investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.

Two people were detained in connection. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
