Monterey Park police motorcycle officer injured in collision

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- A Monterey Park police motorcycle officer was transported to a local hospital in stable condition following a collision near Atlantic Boulevard and El Repetto Dr. Monday.

The officer was on duty at the time of the crash at about 7:30 a.m. The condition of the second driver remains unknown.

The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation. No further details were immediately released.
