Swastikas painted on house of Jewish family in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KABC) -- Swastikas were painted outside the home of a Jewish family who recently moved to San Diego from Israel.

The family said the power to their home in the Mira Mesa neighborhood was intentionally cut this weekend. When they went outside to investigate, they found swastikas painted on their garage.

The father said they had moved because they didn't want to raise his children in Israel due to the fighting there.

"Rockets like every minute. We decided to grow them here just because of the quiet," he said.

Police are investigating the incident as a hate crime.
