Mother of girl abandoned in San Bernardino located, interviewed by police

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- San Bernardino police said they located the woman who apparently abandoned her daughter at an acquaintance's home.

Authorities did not reveal where the mother was found but said investigators are interviewing her.

The girl, only known as Veronica, was dropped off by her mother on Thursday around noon.

The mother told the acquaintance that she was running to the courthouse. She never returned to pick up her child.
