Knife-wielding man fatally shot by officers in Lincoln Heights

LINCOLN HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man with a knife was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Lincoln Heights Tuesday afternoon.

Police say a woman reported the man was hurting himself on the 3400 block of Manitou Avenue at about 4:17 p.m.

When officers arrived, they saw the man with a large hunting knife in his hands. The suspect allegedly charged at them and that's when officers opened fire.

No officers were injured. The suspect's name was not immediately available.
