LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) -- A man has been arrested for allegedly attacking and sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl near a school in Lancaster on Wednesday.
Authorities say the incident happened in a desert area near some portable classrooms, across the street from Lancaster Baptist School.
Deputies responded to the scene at 3:30 p.m. The suspect tried to drive off, but his car got stuck in sand.
After a struggle, the man was arrested and taken away with a mask over his face.
The teen was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
