Metro bus, police cruiser crash on 710 Freeway in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Traffic is flowing normally Monday on the 710 Freeway following an overnight wreck involving a police cruiser and a Metro bus in Long Beach.

The crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. in the southbound lanes near the Pacific Coast Highway exit.

Police temporary shut down the freeway to investigate what happened.

Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It's unclear if one of those people was the officer driving the cruiser.

The cause of the wreck is still unknown.
