MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- Two Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were airlifted to the hospital Sunday after their patrol vehicle crashed into a guard rail and rolled over in Malibu.

The collision occurred shortly after 6:45 p.m. at Kanan Dume and Latigo Canyon roads as the deputies were responding to a call about a person throwing bottles in the middle of Pacific Coast Highway.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The two deputies were airlifted to a hospital and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The area remained shut down while officers conducted an investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Lost Hills Station at (818) 878-1808.
