Lake Forest house fire injures 2 people, kills cat

LAKE FOREST, Calif. (KABC) -- A fire erupted at a home in Lake Forest, injuring two people and killing a cat early Monday morning.

Authorities responded to the two-alarm fire at the two-story house in the 80 block of Carriage Drive at 5:30 a.m. Two people were rushed to an area hospital in unknown condition.

A cat died inside the home.

The blaze was knocked down at 6 a.m. Fifty firefighters responded to the fire. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
