Car careens into gas station, bursts into flames in Malibu

MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- A taxi cab allegedly cut off a car on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, causing it to careen into a gas station pump and burst into flames.

The crash occurred at 7:45 p.m. Saturday on the highway at Cross Creek Road. A clerk at the Shell station managed to cut the flow of gasoline. Firefighters put out the flames within minutes, witnesses said.

No one was injured.

The taxi driver drove off with a passenger still inside, but authorities are not calling it a hit and run.
