Thief who burglarized churches in Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights arrested

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A suspect has been arrested after several churches in Hacienda Heights and Rowland Heights were burglarized.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department sought the public's help catching the brazen thief, releasing surveillance images of the suspect. Shortly after, they received anonymous tips identifying the man as 36-year-old Carlos Montiel of Hacienda Heights.

After investigating the tips, Montiel was taken into custody without further incident.

Detectives searched the suspect's home and vehicle to recover evidence related to the burglaries.
