9 injured in violent 2-vehicle accident in Bell

BELL, Calif. (KABC) -- Nine people were injured during a violent crash in Bell early Sunday, police said.

The two-car collision involving a white Hyundai Accent and a dark gray Honda Civic occurred at the intersection of Florence and Walker avenues just after midnight.

The impact of the crash pushed the Hyundai Accent onto the sidewalk. First responders used the Jaws of Life to remove at least person out of the vehicles.

All nine people were being treated at a hospital, but none of their conditions were known, Bell police said in a statement.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Bell Police Department at (323) 585-1245.
